Whether you are one of the many returning or first-time visitors to the Art in the Park Festival, below are questions and answers we hope will make your visit a pleasant one.

Enhancing your Experience at our Festival…

When is the Art in the Park Festival?
Art in the Park (AITP)
will be taking place June 7th and 8th, 2025. The event runs 10:00 am-5:00 pm, rain or shine.

Where is the festival located?
Central Park, Ottawa, Ontario. The east side of the park is sandwiched between Clemow Avenue, Bank Street, and Patterson Street. Get directions here and enjoy A Walk in the Park during Art in the Park Festival. Images taken during 2022 and 2023.

Is there an admission fee? 
The festival is FREE to attend. Bring your friends, family, pets, and enjoy! (Pets must be kept on a leash at all times.)

What happens if it rains? ​​
The festival will go on unless the weather is catastrophic. The artists spend a great deal of time and effort to get everything ready for your visit, and they are in enclosed areas that you are welcome to enter.

Artists are committed to sharing their work with you rain or shine, so grab an umbrella (or sunscreen) and head down to the park!​

How is the park laid out? 
The map below indicates the park layout (click the image to enlarge). Several maps are also displayed throughout the park during the festival. See map below.

Where are the washrooms?
Portable facilities and hand-washing stations are available on the north and south sides of the park:
North side (lower park): on the ramp between Patterson Avenue & North Pathway.
South side (upper park): along Clemow Avenue.

Where are the food and beverage vendors?
Delicious food, drinks, and coffee from local eateries are available for sale throughout the park: next to the Info booth (Central Pathway), on Clemow Avenue, and beside Patterson (153) Pathway.

A coffee station is located in the upper park (south of Clemow) beside Patterson (153) Pathway. Help reduce waste by bringing your reusable mug!

Where is the drinking water station?
The water station is located in the upper park (south of Clemow) where Clemow Pathway & Patterson Pathway meet.

Where is the Info Booth?
The Info Booth is located in the lower park between 40 & 41 Central Pathway. Maps and staff are available throughout the park if you need help.​​

Where is the First Aid?
First Aid staff are located at the Info Booth (lower park between 40 & 41 Central Pathway).

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, Central Park is dog friendly! But please be mindful that artworks are fragile, often taking many hours to create, and keep your pooch close by.

Finding Exhibiting Artists

How do I find an artist who is participating? ​
1. Find an artist's space address either through the online artist directory or from the listing attached to maps displayed throughout the park during the festival.
2. Then find the space address location on the park map, which is available online and in the park.

What is the artist directory?
The artist directory is a list of exhibiting artists and their locations in the park. It includes their contact information, allowing visitors to connect with artists (and artists to connect with each other) long after the festival is over.

This complimentary service is posted on our website approximately one week before the festival.

Artists provide the directory information when they apply. Contact information is not mandatory and may be left blank.​

Where can I park?
The festival is located in a park in a residential neighbourhood. All parking is located on the street or in local parking lots.

Be aware that the city sends a parking by-law officer to patrol the neighbourhood throughout the entire festival. This is due to complaints received in previous years from neighbours about parked vehicles that blocked driveways and emergency vehicles.

Art in the Park is not responsible for city on-street parking or any parking tickets issued.​​

Does AITP have accessible parking?
The festival is located in a park without a dedicated parking lot and therefore does not have any designated accessible parking spaces.

Awards

What are the Art in the Park awards?
AITP
partners with local art supporters to present several awards annually that reflect and encourage the festival’s commitment to creativity, craftsmanship and artistic excellence. You can view the list of awards and award winners on our awards page.

When are the awards distributed?
Awards will be distributed to the recipient’s booth at approximately 4:00 pm on the Saturday of the festival. Award winners’ names will be listed online and on the maps throughout the park.
